Biography:
Antonella Cimatti, born in Faenza, is a member of IAC, International Academy of Ceramics (Geneva). During her academic years, she has been a student of Alfonso Leoni and Carlo Zauli, she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. She taught Planning and Design at the Ballardini Institute in Faenza from 1979 until 2017 and, for a short period, she through the Artist Fellowship Exchange – European Communities, in Portsmouth England in 1991 and in Turnhout Belgium in 1995.
In 2011 she was invited to participate in the 54th International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale, and in 2016-2017 at the Triennale Design Museum in Milan.
She has received numerous awards and recognitions, she is often invited to participate in international workshops and residencies as Guest Artist: New Dehli India, Aberystwyth UK, Shigaraki Japan, Philadelphia, Hawaii USA, Jindezhen China, Vallauris France.
